Today's Technology - Innovation, Precision and Reliability!
Functionality with Minimalist Design
The idea is basic: Best functionality for telling time. This means reading the current time fast. GPW® watches are designed to tell time fast and easily. The hour markers are clearly set in large design on the black dial and coated with luminescence paint for readability in the dark. To provide a clean look there are no unnecessary and cluttering markings on the dial. The light-weight Titanium case makes the watch very comfortable to wear. In addition, we offer different strap options as well as a solid Titanium bracelet based on the wearers preferences and usage.
Sapphire Crystal
All watches are constructed with a thick sapphire crystal, including the watches with convex crystal. Sapphire crystal is scratch-resistant with a hardness of nine on the 1-10 Mohs scale. Only a diamond (hardness=10) is capable of damaging the synthetically manufactured sapphire crystal. In addition, all crystals undergo a special anti-reflection treatment resulting in dials and hands that are always clearly visible.
Crown
GPW® watches have a sturdy screw-in crown. Once the crown is released, the watch can be wound and the time and date adjusted. The screw-in crown mechanism protects the watch from moisture and dust and enhances its shock resistance. The watch can also withstand extreme pressures up to 20 bars and surpasses the waterproofing requirements of the German Institute for Standardisation (DIN norm 8310). This pressure rating of 20 bars (and 200M (600ft) water-resistant) make the watch suitable for professional marine activity, skin diving and serious surface water sports.
Case
GPW® military cases are machined from T2 aviation grade Titanium (including screw-in case back and bezel). The material is anti-magnetic, lightweight. The case weights only 55 grams without strap. It undergoes numerous processing steps emerging as a robust case, precision manufactured to within a hundredth of a millimeter, which protects the movement from moisture, dust and impact. The unidirectional 120-click rotating bezel (select models) is also made from solid Titanium and black coated.
Movement
The GPW® quartz models use a high-quality Swiss quartz movements as well as reliable self-winding mechanisms. The Mission ‘Einsatzuhr’ is powered by a premium high beat 28,800 bph Miyota Cal. 9015 automatic movement with a 42 hour power reserve. All GPW® movements (quartz and automatic) have a hacking feature which stops the watch's second hand completely when pulling out the crown to set the time. This is beneficial, as it will allow you to more precisely set the time, down to the exact second. Additional adjustments and precise regulation on each movement leads to precision accuracy. Because of this attention to precision detail and lasting durability, Arctos watches have been the choice of military units operating under extreme conditions where there is no tolerance for failure.
